DANNY REINKE "DEVILS DELIGHT” A/W 2022 Collection

The collection is a reflection of internal human emotion. Sometimes this causes distance and disappointment that people overplay to avoid appearing vulnerable to others. Like the sad-faced clown in the ring performing to bring hope and joy to others.  

The color palette covers various shades of red and pink to white and black. Black forms the base and gives the collection a somber elegance. Various checks and stripes are mixed dynamically to create wild pattern pairings. Playful ruffles and bows meet clear cuts and shapes. Reinke deliberately relies on pattern contrast to create a potpourri of different looks reminiscent of the Harlequin. Reinke's classic menswear tailoring is taken up a notch to give the wearer an armor-like confidence. The designer's own exploration of "negative" emotions paired with a defiant hope and optimism that ultimately plays a central role that metaphorically holds a mirror up to the viewer.

"Devils Delight" was an intimate and emotional fashion show that took place between concrete walls and was accompanied by a live performance by musical artist The Allegorist.

Danny Reinke grew up as the son of a fisherman in a small village near the Baltic Sea. From an early age he learned the importance of sustainable craftsmanship and preserving the environment. Today, this craftsmanship forms the basis of his work. Since 2017, Danny has been lovingly handcrafting each garment in Berlin. His private clients appreciate his made-to-measure and made-to-order business model. HIs unique designs are environmentally conscious and produced under the highest quality standards.

The iconic brand has shaped an entire fashion generation of strong personalities and regularly presents exciting designer collaborations. Today, Buffalo is paving the way for a more sustainable future with the production of the Peta-approved vegan styles made exclusively from sustainable materials and components. Currently, 87.5 percent of BUFFALO shoes are vegan and Peta-approved. In summer 2022, the vegan share of the collection will be increased to 97%.

Berlin-based artist, Anna Jordan aka. The Allegorist, has been meandering through stories with her purposeful and introspective take on electronic music. Each release explores themes that require joint participation from the listener as they look to flood your mind with images of fabled characters and places through her artistic soundscapes. She carefully builds worlds that straddle sci-fi and fantasy, feeding off of the light and dark dualism which are the perfect blend of reflective contemplation and storytelling.
