Berlin fashion label UY Studio presents a performance between humans and robots in collaboration with Dasha Rush, William Russell, Candela Capitan and Monom Studios from July 15-17.
CODESS is an interactive installation with live performances, merging dance, machine, light and sound.
A robot set centre stage marks the beginning of this spectacle of performance and immersive sound. The figure rotates its arm in a circle and both greeting and challenging the audience. Twelve dancers activate the landscape and their movements confront the ever-intensifying tension between the human body and the surrounding technology of our present time.

Date: Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 8 p.m.
Location: Halle am Wriezener Bahnhof (Berghain), 10243 Berlin
Through the display of technological sculpture, the audience is taken on a reflective journey, oscillating between the recent past, the present and the near future. CODESS is a performative meditation in which machinery and technology are certainties for the future; it is a speculative representation of the afterlife through which hope still emanates.

About Monom Studios / 4DSOUND
Monom Studios Berlin is the home of the 4DSOUND system, a spatial sound instrument that provides a flexible, intuitive control platform for artists from different performative disciplines to experiment and express their ideas with new dimensionality. An integrated hardware and software system, 4DSOUND uses omnidirectional sound environment where sounds appear in the space as independent physical entities and as sound holograms. The 4DSOUD system recreates sounds in a way that connects to our highly evolved perception of space and its dimensionality. The 4DSOUND system cultivates a social listening space in which the listener and performer can interact, moving freely to explore a new physical environment of sound.
