On May 25, 2023, Austrian star chef Wolfgang Puck was honored as the "Gault&Millau Ambassador 2024" by Gault&Millau Austria. Martina and Karl Hohenlohe, the publishers of Gault&Millau Austria, presented the internationally renowned chef with the corresponding certificate during an event held at Palais Coburg in Vienna. Josephinenhütte, in collaboration with Gault&Millau Austria, provided the Josephine glasses for this prestigious event, marking the beginning of a brand partnership between Josephinenhütte and Gault&Millau Austria.
This event paid tribute to Wolfgang Puck's exceptional career and his contributions to Austrian cuisine, earning him the title of Gault & Millau ambassador. "Austrian cuisine is highly regarded in many of its restaurants worldwide. High-quality Wiener Schnitzel can be found almost everywhere, and even Carinthian cheese noodles in some places. Although Wolfgang Puck has achieved great success in the United States, he has never forgotten his roots," remarked Martina and Karl Hohenlohe.
Following a heartfelt speech by Vienna's former mayor, Michael Häupl, Marcus Meyer, co-founder of Josephinenhütte, presented Wolfgang Puck with a set of hand-engraved glasses by Kurt Josef Zalto. The culinary legend filled the Josephine No 3 glass while still on stage and spontaneously invited a delegation from Josephinenhütte to join him at his renowned Spago restaurant in LA. During the gala dinner, the esteemed guests had the pleasure of savoring top-quality wines served in the Josephine glasses.

"Wolfgang Puck left a profound impression on me. He struck me as authentic and down-to-earth," noted Marcus Meyer. "I seized the opportunity to discuss his secret to success with him, and I will take a page from his book for the future."
The name Wolfgang Puck is synonymous with the epitome of restaurant hospitality and excellence in all aspects of the culinary arts. The acclaimed chef has built a brand that encompasses three companies: Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining Group, Wolfgang Puck Catering, and Wolfgang Puck Worldwide, Inc.
Founded in 2019, Josephinenhütte has captured the attention of wine connoisseurs, top restaurants, and sommeliers. It is renowned for its award-winning Josephine wine glass collection, designed by the 6th generation glass designer Kurt Josef Zalto.
The Josephine Collection focuses on four types of glasses - No 1 white, No 2 universal, No 3 red and No 4 Champagne—each glass represents the diversity of the international wine world. The design with the bend ensures that part of the wine is refracted on its way to the rim and flows back into the glass in a spiral movement. This way it absorbs additional oxygen and can develop perfectly.
Gault&Millau, established in 1965 by restaurant critics Henri Gault and Christian Millau, is a respected French gastronomic guide. Since 1972, it has become one of the most influential guides, leading to culinary discoveries.

Josephine Collection
Exceptionally light and thin-walled, yet flexible, extremely delicate and yet robust, of generous size, soft and smooth in the hand. The wine glasses are designed by master wine glass artisan, Kurt Josef Zalto. Each glass is a sculpture, the result of many years of expert craftsmanship and the result of functional design. The ratio of height to diameter, the unique contour of the goblet, and the conical base sharply tapering into the stem create the perfect harmony of touch, taste, and smell. A glass that brings out the perfect flavor of wines and its characteristic shape delights both palate and the eye.
