Puerto Rico-born, Berlin-based director, choreographer, and dramaturg Kianí del Valle will close this weekend’s Lollapalooza Berlin TK Maxx Stage with a groundbreaking show for iconoclastic pop star Lorde. After a year of creative collaboration and work on Lorde’s sold-out 100-city Ultrasound tour, del Valle is expanding her partnership with the New Zealand artist.
Lorde will headline the Lollapalooza Berlin TK Maxx Stage on Sunday, July 19, in a performance curated by del Valle, who has spent the past year shaping Lorde’s live show experience. This Lollapalooza set, specifically designed for the festival circuit, follows successful performances in the past weeks at Governors Ball NYC and ALLTHINGSGO Toronto—further extending a collaboration that began during last year’s ULTRASOUND world.
The Ultrasound tour, also choreographed by del Valle, sold out its entire run and received rave reviews during its Berlin stop in December 2025. This summer’s festival edition maintains the same energy and physical storytelling, offering European audiences their first opportunity to experience how the Ultrasound live show not only translates to the festival stage but also gets deconstructed visually and physically.

“Movement is the throughline of every story I build on stage,” said del Valle. “With Lorde, we developed a unique physical language throughout the Ultrasound tour. Lollapalooza and the upcoming festival dates allow us to bring that world to a larger audience, expanding not only through movement but also through innovative technology and stage design by my dear friend Tino Schaedler.”
Del Valle’s next music industry project is already underway: she will direct the upcoming festival tour for fellow Puerto Rican artist Young Miko, building on their collaboration from Young Miko’s sold-out shows at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan. Young Miko will perform at Lollapalooza Berlin’s Essence Stage on Saturday, July 18, setting the stage for this exciting new chapter.
